Director Ken Leupold said the facility will be open to the community because a lot of people have never been inside the WNMU-Deming building and seen the classrooms, offices and impressive county-owned art work on display.
Refreshments will be provided by the Deming High School Pro Start culinary class, and entertainment will be provided by the Deming High School mariachi from 6-7 p.m.
Leupold said Deming instructors will be located in the Special Events Center so community members can talk to them about classes they teach.
Also, Alumni Association Director Amanda Moffett Lane will talk to WNMU alumni about forming a Deming alumni chapter.
Leupold said Lane also will answer questions about the WNMU Foundation scholarships which are now open for applications.
Small Business Development Center business advisor Mario LaFragola will be available to talk to any interested persons.
And WNMU Adult Basic Education director Debbie Maldonado will answer questions about GED and ESL classes.
Again, WNMU-Deming’s community-wide Open House is this Thurs., Nov. 17th, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 2300 E. Pine St.
Everyone is welcome.
