WNMU-Deming Director Ken Leupold said the fair is open to students, parents or any community members with questions about course offerings at the Deming campus, or the main WNMU campus in Silver City.
Leupold said the fair is a chance for Luna County residents to pick up information about Western New Mexico University without having to drive to Silver City to talk to department officials on the main campus.
Representatives from nearly every WNMU department will be in Deming to answer questions. Among the departments to be represented are: education, social work,
counseling, natural sciences, English, criminal justice, chemical dependency,
psychology, social sciences, math, computer science, kinesiology, occupational
therapy, workforce development, interdisciplinary studies, nursing and Spanish.
Other WNMU services such as Miller Library, the intramural program, First Year Experience, the Language Institute, campus recreation, the honors program, career services, academic recruiting and high school dual credit also will be represented.
The event is set for this Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mimbres Valley Learning and Special Events Center, 2300 East Pine, and is open to anyone
interested.
