
President Cabrini Martinez said the organization’s focus is "veterans helping veterans," and is being operated exclusively to provide services and assistance to veterans, spouses, dependent children, and widows or widowers of veterans residing within Luna, Grant, and Hidalgo counties.
Martinez said they will continue the monthly food distribution on the first Wednesday of every month to all qualified veterans, widows or widowers of veterans, and veteran spouses.
To be eligible, you must register with a DD214-Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty or veteran’s card, and picture ID.
The food distribution is conducted at the center, located at 4045 Overhill Drive. The gate opens at 8 a.m. and the doors open at 9 a.m.
Martinez added that in cooperation with American Legion Post #4, delivery services for homebound veterans or widows and widowers will be made available.
