The horse was struck by a 1996 Nissan being driven by a 17-year-old boy at about 10 p.m.
Tuesday.
The teen, who suffered minor injuries in the accident, was cited for driving without a license, no
insurance and having an expired registration, and his mother was cited for permitting an unlicensed driver to drive.
Luna County Undersheriff Arturo Baeza said they were working with a livestock inspector to
determine the owner of the horse.
