Luna County Undersheriff Arturo Baeza said dispatch received a call at just after 10 p.m. Thursday from the teens, who said they needed picked up but were unsure where they were.
The teens, described as 16- or 17-years-old, reportedly left Mexico four or five days ago.
They said they entered the U.S. near the boot-heel portion of New Mexico after leaving Mexico from the area of the El Camello Ranch.
Border Patrol agents were notified and a four-hour search for the boys began.
They were eventually located by Sheriff’s Corporal Jose Martinez at about 2:15 a.m. Friday five miles south of Interstate 10 near the Quincy overpass.
Baeza said the teens were dehydrated, hungry and disoriented, but otherwise seemed in good health.
