Students also were taught tips on how to look for traffic, how to avoid common road hazards and how to negotiate an intersection.
Molina Heathcare mascot Doctor Cleo was on hand to assist students with Molina’s smoothie bike. Students pedaled the bike, which in turn powered a blender that created smoothie drinks.

And Charlie Wildcat, Deming’s school mascot, and McGruff, the Crime Dog, also were on hand to interact with students.
