Luna County Sheriff’s Captain Jose Martinez said 37-year-old Beverly Weinreich told officers she was driving a 2015 Ford Expedition north on Spring Canyon Road looking for her dog when a deer on the roadway startled her and she lost control of her vehicle, crashing into a hill.
The accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 27th.
Weinreich and her two children – 18-year-old Allen Walker and a 14-year-old girl – were transported with varying injuries.
Martinez said Weinreich was cited for careless driving, and her vehicle was towed.
