(Deming) – A Deming teen was flown to El Paso for treatment of injuries she sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident Sunday.
Luna County Sheriff’s Captain Jose Martinez said 17-year-old Deanna Lugo was airlifted from the scene of the accident approximately five to six miles from Hidden Valley Ranch north of Deming with back and other injuries.
Martinez said Lugo and five other teens, ranging in age from 15 to 17, were riding in a Polaris Ranger Crew off-road vehicle at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday when the teens rolled the vehicle.
At least one other girl suffered back injuries and was treated at the scene.
Deming emergency medical responders medically cleared the other teens.
