
The current president, Sandi Gunter, who initially sought re-election, announced prior to the voting that she was not seeking re-election.
So, the membership retained the only current board member who was seeking re-election, Davinnia Norton, and then elected the three people who were running for seats on the board – Beatrice Dominguez, Jeff Jackson and Cole Viramontes – to fill the four seats on the 12-member board.
All four seats are for three-year terms.
Also, the membership voted down by more than two-to-one a proposed special livestock rule revision that would have prohibited anyone who has graduated high school from exhibiting livestock at the fair.
