The Southwest New Mexico Transition Center is a 501-C-3 non-profit organization to address homelessness and hunger among veterans and others, and is located at 311 East Maple – in the back of the DAV building.
Festivities will begin at noon Saturday with a barbecue, music, raffles and a tour of the facility.
They also will be accepting donations of clothing, unexpired can or boxed food, or other items, and will be issuing receipts for the tax-deductible donations.
The Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce will have a ribbon-cutting at 3 p.m.
Again, the grand opening of the Southwest New Mexico Transition Center at 311 East Maple will begin at noon Saturday.
