Local Crime Report for Tuesday September 1st, 2015

(Deming) -  Here’s the area crime report:

          Valerie Medina, age 43, was arrested for Driving with a suspended or revoked license, unlawful use of a license and driving with an expired registration…  Justin Williams, age 27, of Las Cruces was arrested for Aggravated DWI and Open container…Gimma Escobar-Ortiz, age, 34, from Lewiston, Maine was served a Municipal warrant for Larceny and trespassing… Jessica Valencia, age 30, of Phoenix, Arizona was served a United States Warrant for Failure to appear. 

          In other reports…  Larceny and criminal damage to property was reported in the 1400 block of South Whittier after electronics with a value around $1000.00 were taken…  Larceny of over $1000.00 in Jewelry was reported from the 900 block of West Walnut... a 2004 Chevy Cavalere with a value of $500.00 was reported stolen from the 1000 block of West Pine… and a Mountain Bike with a value of $500.00 was taken from the 2300 Block of Water Hazard Rd.  

            A semi hit a guard rail at 1-10 mile marker 76, no injuries were reported… A brown and black purse containing 50 dollars cash and various paperwork was reported lost or stolen at the Post Office.  

            A 43 year old Deming man reported that over $2100 dollars in merchandise was ordered on his Finger Hut account without his authorization….  Cooks Peak Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on State Road 11 near mile marker 27..  The unknown vehicle was reported a total loss.  Deming Fire, along with Cooks Peak Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of San Carlos Road.  The home was totally destroyed and the Fire Marshal’s investigating.
