Organizers say the "See You at the Pole" event will kick off at 7 a.m. Wednesday at the flagpole in front of the high school, and is a good opportunity to pray for our schools, students, school staff and nation.
This year’s theme is “United,” focusing on Acts 1:14 which says, “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer…” (NLT).
And then Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., the DHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes will show the movie “When the Game Stands Tall” at no charge at Memorial Football Stadium.
The movie depicts the journey of legendary football coach Bob Ladouceur, who took the De La Salle High School Spartans from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport.
The coach engages the team members in a passage from the Gospel of Luke which states that all good deeds will be rewarded.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets.
