
Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante said his officers will be conducting saturation patrols periodically in May, beginning with this first weekend of the month, as part of the department’s END DWI commitment aimed at reducing the number of drunken driving incidents in the community.
And Sheriff’s Lieutenant Joy Mullins said the Luna County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting traffic safety patrols, DWI saturation patrols and DWI checkpoints throughout Luna County in May in an effort to enforce driving laws.
Law enforcement officers are reminding drivers to watch their speed, properly buckle themselves and their children, never text while driving or otherwise drive distracted, and never drive impaired.
