weekend’s burglary at Deming High School.
Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante said they are following up on tips and evidence collected from
the break-in early Saturday morning.
And one correction needs to be made: the $150 reportedly taken from the high school was taken from
the coffee shop, not the school store as noted in the incident report.
The burglar damaged five surveillance cameras, but at least one camera recorded the break-in.
The burglar broke a door window and entered through the west door near the gymnasium, then broke additional windows to gain access to the interior of the
school.
He or she damaged a safe in at least one office, and eventually took $150 cash from the coffee shop.
The burglar is described as 5’6” tall, 125 pounds, wearing a sweater and jeans, and wearing a mask and cap to disguise his or her identity.
