
Sheriff’s officials said the plane was flying east of the Columbus Highway near mile marker six at just after 8 a.m. when it hit the ground and flipped over.
The pilot, initially identified as being from Texas, suffered only minor scratches in the accident.
A Silver City woman was flown to El Paso with injuries she sustained in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Rockhound and Country Club roads at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The woman’s passenger, and the driver and passenger of the other vehicle, were transported by ambulance to the Deming hospital.
No other details were immediately available.
And 83-year-old Joe Deckert was transported with head and neck injuries Monday afternoon after his vehicle was struck by a Corre Caminos passenger bus where Columbus Road and Pearl merge.
Deckert’s 1989 Ford Bronco II spun and rolled over, landing upside-down.
Police officials said the bus driver, 57-year-old Steven Duffy, will be cited for failing to yield right-of-way.
