The free concert, under the direction of Choral Activities Director David Klement, will take place at First United Methodist Church, 1020 South Granite, Friday at 7 p.m.
The NMSU University Singers will perform music reflecting on the season of spring. Choral selections include music of the Renaissance through the 21st Century.
The University Singers is a select mixed chamber ensemble of approximately 25 auditioned voices specializing in a cappella repertoire from the 16th Century through the 21st Century.
Members are mostly upper-level undergraduate students with strong sight-reading skills and vocal ability.
The University Singers perform in multiple concerts and by-invitation each year. In addition, the choir engages in a series of annual choir mini-tours.
This ensemble has toured to places like Lincoln Center in New York City and the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and has toured internationally to Spain, Germany, Austria, London, Scotland and Italy.
Again, the NMSU University Singers will perform music reflecting on spring this Friday evening at 7 at First United Methodist Church in Deming. The concert is free of charge.
