Deming Police Chief Bobby Orosco said the meeting is designed to discuss how to create crime-watch groups in neighborhoods.
Orosco said Neighborhood Watch programs are great ways to help deter crime and strengthen relationships between his department and the community.
Lt. Kathleen Schindler has worked with community policing projects throughout Deming, and has set up meetings to revitalize Neighborhood Watch programs.
There will be a short presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period.
The final meeting will be this Thursday, Dec. 8th, at 6:30 p.m. at Deming Intermediate School.
The meeting is open to the public, and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.
