Employees are nominated for the award by their hospital peers, based on their commitment to patient care, their professionalism, and their contributions on the job.
Monica Sweatt, MMH Employee of the Year, has worked for Mimbres Memorial since 2011. Prior to moving to the area, she was a vacation planner for Disney. Monica says”The most rewarding part of my job is striving every day to create a positive experience for people that are making a career change.” Her supervisor says “Monica is the epitome of customer service. She doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk by demonstrating MMH customer service standards each and every day with every person she comes in contact with.”
“I love working with the great MMH team.” says Trisha Smith, non-clinical Manager of the Year. Trisha has been with Mimbres Memorial for 7 ½ years. She enjoys working with an organization that helps the community.
Mayra Srader, RN, rejoined the hospital staff in May of 2006 as a nurse on the medical/surgical unit. She has also nursed in ICU and been ICU Director prior to assuming her current duties. She likens working at the hospital to working with a family of friendly, caring, dependable people.
“Each of our employees has a specific role in the delivery of quality health care to the people who live and work in the Deming community,” said Westenhofer. “Our success in meeting the needs of the patients we serve is dependent on the collective efforts of all employees.”
