20-year-old Ryan Green is charged with two counts of larceny, two counts of receiving stolen property, two counts of forgery, two counts of theft of a credit card, two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, three counts of issuing worthless checks and one count of embezzlement.
Sheriff’s Investigator Israel Saenz said the investigation into Green’s activities began with a complaint about a revolver
Green borrowed from a Deming man but never returned, and the investigation began to reveal inconsistencies in Green’s finances and work record.
Saenz said Green told his Deming fiancé, her family and others that he was a top official in a general contractor’s company in Las Cruces making over $100,000 a year, when he had actually only worked for the company two months in the spring as an entry level employee.
Green’s charges stem from activities tracked between August 17th and last Friday.
Saenz said additional charges will be filed if
they determine Green had other victims.
