The camp will take place at Red Mountain Middle School from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. next Monday-Friday, June 10th-14th.
Projects will include airplanes, egg drops, bottle rockets, slime, and more.
The curriculum will be provided by recent Deming High graduate David Velez.
The camp is supported by NM MESA, a pre-college program that prepares students for college and careers in mathematics, engineering, science, or technically related fields.
The MESA program is coordinated through six regional offices, and the regional coordinator for Deming is Terry Ramirez.
MESA supports student programs in middle and high schools throughout the state, with activities including field trips, speakers, workshops, regional and state-wide academic competitions, community service, and leadership development projects.
Again, the weeklong camp is free. Call 915-526-5077 for more information.
