The Fall Native Plant Sale is Saturday, September 27 from 8 a.m. – noon. A wide selection of native plants and grasses will be on sale. Choose from Autumn Sage, Deer Grass, Banana Yucca and many more, all priced between $7 and $17. Sponsored by the Friends of Rockhound State Park, proceeds from the sale go back into the park for school group education programs and interpretive events.
Park Manager Robert Apodaca said “Different events like these at Rockhound bring the community together,” “One weekend visitors can enjoy a picnic while listening to music and the next buy native plants and grasses from master gardeners - all while enjoying the park.”
