
The festival will bring together regional marching bands to be assessed by a panel of El Paso, Texas, judges at DHS Memorial Stadium.
Each band will use a 20-minute time slot to perform their marching show for the judges and audience.
Nine bands from southern New Mexico, Texas and Arizona are expected to participate.
Although many bands have not yet completed their competition shows, the festival reportedly gives students and directors a chance to receive input on the shows as they are presented.
The Wildcat Band, under the direction of new head band director Sergio Beraun, will be playing "The Bells" by Randall Standridge.
Again, the festival is set to begin at 6 p.m. this Wednesday, October 7th, at Deming’s Memorial Football Stadium.
Admission is free and open to the public.
