This is the third year Deming and other New Mexico communities have participated in the initiative.
On Wednesday, Deming tour participants will board a chartered bus at 8 a.m. at the Deming Depot, 333 North Country Club Road, to travel to Compass Components, Mizkan (formerly Border Foods) and Luna Rossa Winery.
Transportation to the tour sites is provided at no cost.
Compass Components, at 2400 Atlantic Way, employs more than 100 workers who assemble custom-designed electrical components used in the transportation, semiconductor, solar-power and medical industries. Compass opened its Deming facility in 2006.
Mizkan, at 4065 J Street Southeast, is the world's largest processor of green chile peppers, the country's largest processor of jalapeno peppers, and a major producer of enchilada sauce.
And Luna Rossa Winery, at 3710 West Pine Street, was founded in 2001, and produces award-winning wines using only New Mexico-grown grapes.
Anyone interested in attending the bus tour can register at http://newmexicomep.org/mfgday or by calling Jessica Etcheverry at 543-6643.
The Deming events are organized by Luna County Community and Economic Development, Deming Luna County Economic Development, and the Deming Luna County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with New Mexico MEP.
