SNMSF - Las Cruces (File Photo) (Deming) – Luna County 4-H and FFA members raised goats that placed in the top spots of several classes in the Southern New Mexico State Fair Junior Market Goat Show in Las Cruces Wednesday.
A goat raised by Ashton Treadwell won its class at the competitive regional fair… while goats raised by Cooper Jackson, Kincade Jackson, Maison Treadwell and Dalton Trantham placed second in their respective classes.
Other Luna County youth raising goats that placed in the top six of their respective classes were: Amanda Borden… Garrett Borden… Raul Perea… Dylan Smyer… Stephanie Swope… and Darian Zachek.
Many of the youth will sell their animals during the Junior Livestock Sale Friday night at the Las Cruces fair.
