
Agenda items include update presentations from representatives of the Luna County Historical Society and the Deming-Luna County Commission on Aging.
Also, the commissioners will consider the county’s information technology and security policy, a survey on elected officials and salary increases, resolutions pertaining to a Community Development Block Grant application, protest-board members, volunteer fire department bylaws, and a juvenile adjudication fund, and a proclamation declaring April Child Abuse Awareness Month.
The commissioners also will recognize Patricia Armendariz and Guadalupe Sandoval for 20 years each at the detention center, Rosa Porras for 20 years with the manager’s office, Roberto Jimenez for five years with the maintenance department, and Mateo Renteria for five years with the sheriff’s department.
The meeting is set to being at 10 a.m. this Thursday, March 12th, in the commission chambers, located on the third floor of the Luna County Courthouse, 700 S. Silver Ave.
The meeting will be open to the public.
