
Included on the agenda is a public hearing and vote on the Social Host Ordinance which is designed to facilitate the enforcement of laws prohibiting alcohol consumption by minors… a public hearing and vote on changes to the county’s personnel ordinance… a resolution addressing fencing for livestock… a resolution for a county road survey… and a proclamation commemorating Luna County School Choice Week.
The commissioners also will hear a presentation by representatives of the New Mexico Association of Counties… an energy initiative presentation by Mark Valenzuela of GK Baum… and a special military presentation.
And service awards will be presented to Barbara Cobos for 20 years with the Assessor’s Office… Jose Ramos for 20 years with the Road Department… and Don Daniels for 10 years with the Sheriff’s Department.
The meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. Thursday in the commission chambers, located on the third floor of the Luna County Courthouse.
The meeting will be open to the public.
Following the open meeting, there will be an executive – or closed – session to discuss pending litigation pertaining to Hermanas Grade… and limited personnel matters pertaining to the roles and responsibilities of the county manager and the commissioners.
