
The work session will begin at 9 a.m.
Included on the agenda is a solid waste update. Also, 10-year service pins will be presented to Mary Helen Allison with the Luna County Detention Center, and to Frankie Tarazon with the Planning Department.
The regular monthly meeting is set to begin at 10 a.m.
Included on the agenda is support of the Community Angel Christmas Project, the appointment of labor, management, and independent members of the county’s Labor Management Relations Board, and the administering of the oath of office to Sheriff’s Deputy Kris Seats.
Also, the staff is expected to announce that the county’s final fiscal year 2018 budget was approved by the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration.
Again, the work session is set to begin at 9 a.m., followed by the monthly meeting at 10 a.m., this Thursday, Oct. 11th, in the commission chambers, located on the third floor of the Luna County Courthouse, 700 S. Silver Ave.
The meetings will be open to the public.
Following the regular monthly meeting, the commissioners will meet in executive – or closed – session to discuss the county manager’s contract, pending litigation matters, and a pending lawsuit.
