
The commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. for a work session, which will include a discussion on the county’s taxation process, and an update on the Luna County Historical Society by Bayne Anderson.
Service awards will be presented to Nathan Ortberg for 10 years with the Detention Center and to Judit Ortiz-Hatch for five years with the IT/Planning Department.
The commissioner’s regular monthly meeting will follow at 10 a.m.
Included on the agenda is an amended joint powers agreement with the NM CAP Entity, and a lease agreement with Quorum Health, owner of Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
Again, the Luna County commissioners will meet for a work session at 9 a.m., followed by their regular monthly meeting at 10 a.m., this Thursday, August 10th, in the commission chambers, located on the third floor of the Luna County Courthouse, 700 S. Silver Ave.
Both the work session and regular meeting are open to the public.
