
Beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday there will be a work session open to the public at which commissioners and county staff will discuss regular meeting agenda items in an informal setting.
Then the regular monthly meeting will follow at 10 a.m.
Included on the agenda is a public hearing, followed by a vote, to amend the county’s Animal Regulation and Control Ordinance #52.
The legal notice says the ordinance nullifies previous animal control ordinances and establishes the framework in which county animal control can operate, as well as guidelines concerning health, safety and welfare for owners of dogs, cats and potbelly pigs.
Also on the agenda is a canvass of Tuesday’s primary election in Luna County.
County to Hold ICIP Meetings
(Deming) – Luna County officials have scheduled three public meetings to address the Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan for 2018 through 2022.
Two of the meetings are this Thursday, and the final one is Friday.
Reportedly, the purpose of the meetings is to have county staff available to answer questions and receive comments regarding future capital projects.
Meetings are set for Thursday, June 9th at 8 a.m. and again at 5 p.m., and Friday, June 10th, at 11 a.m. in the commission chambers, located on the third floor of the Luna County Courthouse.
