MLK Holiday Closings
(Deming) – If you have business to take care of, remember that Monday is the federal Martin Luther King, Junior, holiday.
All city, county and federal offices will be closed Monday for the holiday. Many state offices will be closed as well.
The post office will be closed, most financial institutions will be closed, and Deming Public Schools and Western New Mexico University-Deming will be closed.

(Deming) – Here’s the area crime report:
Christian Lopez-Molinar, age 27, was arrested for battery against a household member, causing criminal damage to property and on a U.S. Marshall’s Service hold… Timothy Bustillos, age 18, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia… nearly $250 cash was taken from a wallet at a location off Hermanas Road… and counterfeit $1 bills were discovered at a local gas station.
