The National Day of Prayer Task Force is described as the Judeo-Christian expression of the National Day of Prayer, organized with the mission of mobilizing prayer in America and encouraging personal repentance and righteousness in the culture.
This year's theme is "One Nation Under God," taken from Psalms 33:12 which reads "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." Organizers say there will be music, prayer and pledges, and they will be praying the seven mountains of prayer with multi-church participation. Those mountains of prayer are categorized as government... church... military... family... education... media and art... and business.
Again, the event will begin Thursday at 6:30 p-m at the Courthouse Park gazebo.
This is the 61st day America has observed the National Day of Prayer.
