HELP-New Mexico operates five day care centers in Deming and one in Columbus which accept children from six-weeks to four years old.
Officials said the infant/toddler program actually assists expectant mothers, then accepts the six-week old babies.
The program offers active learning experiences, nutritional snacks and meals, nurturing, qualified teachers, parent engagement activities, family and health services, and services to children with specials needs at no cost to the parents.
Applications are accepted regardless of race, age, sex, creed, color, national origin or disability, but space is limited.
The Deming centers include The Learning Center, the Family Resource Center, the McPherson Center, the Rainbow Center, and the Deming Center at 306 South Copper. The Columbus HELP-New Mexico facility is located at 500 Taft.
Applications may be picked up at the centers weekdays between 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
