(Deming) – Here’s the area crime report:
Benny Lerma, age 26, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, on a Magistrate warrant and on two Municipal warrants… Adolfo Grado, age 59, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute… William Larry, age 52, was arrested for driving while license was suspended or revoked… and John Morales, age 38, was arrested on a Municipal warrant for failure to pay fines.
Also… an embezzlement of over $1,500 cash was reported at a business off Country Club Road.
And a Deming man was injured after he attempted to fire an antique muzzleloader-style handgun. Reportedly, the gun malfunctioned, exploding from the sides of the receiver and injuring the man’s hand. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
