DEMING – Here’s the area crime report:
Jorge Martinez, age 26, was arrested for battery against a household member, resisting, evading or obstructing an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia… Joseph Mays, age 48, was arrested for driving while license was suspended or revoked, and on an improper equipment violation… and Crystal Pena, age 31, was arrested on an Adult Probation and Parole Office warrant for a probation violation, and on a Municipal warrant for failure to appear.
Also, a 2002 Dodge Durango valued at $9,000 was reported stolen from a location off S. Shelly… jewelry and a handgun, with a combined value of over $1,000, were taken from a residence off Irritabe Rd NW… a back window valued at $500 was broken on a vehicle parked off S. Copper… a man attempting to sell a horse trailer online received two checks in excess of the asking price which turned out to be worthless… and a 52-year-old Columbus woman reported being the victim of identity theft after learning her Social Security number and birthdate were being used by someone in Las Vegas, NV.
