
Two Deming men have been charged with larceny following an attempt to steal an all-terrain vehicle from a location off South Iron.
Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante said an anonymous caller tipped officers to the theft, and 34-year-old Ramon Miranda and 38-year-old John Morales were caught after loading the ATV into a green van and leaving the area.
Gigante said the ATV’s owner was not yet aware that the vehicle had been stolen when contacted by his officers.
In other news… Raul Aguilera, age 51, was arrested for burglary and larceny… Joseph Stevenson, age 24, was arrested on a Magistrate warrant for failure to pay fines… William White, age 20, was arrested on a Magistrate warrant for failure to pay fines… and Robert Elliott, age 30, was arrested on a Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court warrant for failure to appear.
