Finally, Saturday morning at around 8 a.m., New Mexico State Police responded to a semi fire and ultimately an explosion of a tractor trailer rig on Interstate 10, mile marker 79. The vehicle was transporting $60,000 in frozen chickens when the Kenworth semi caught fire, resulting in the vehicle, and cargo exploding on the Interstate. Total value of damage was listed at $174,000.
