(Deming) – Here’s the area crime report:
Jose Tarango, age 56, was arrested for DUI and having an open container… Lorenzo Hernandez, age 21, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license was suspended or revoked… Michael Alba, age 42, was arrested for battery against a household member…
Mario Jimenez, age 40, was arrested for driving while license was suspended or revoked… and Darrel Williams, age 19, was cited for shoplifting at Dollar General.
Also, two grams of methamphetamine were found in a cell at the Luna County Detention Center; the investigation is being conducted by the Luna County Sheriff’s Department… a compound bow valued at over $700 was reported stolen from a residence off South Ninth Street… a power pole in the area of Sunshine Road and the Columbus Highway was hit by a vehicle… a breaking-and-entering was reported at a business off Kansas Street in Columbus… a breaking-and-entering was reported at a residence off El Paso Street in Columbus… and mail was reported stolen by a resident off Hermanas Grade Southwest.
