
Jedediah Manges, age 26, was arrested on a Magistrate warrant for robbery, battery against a household member and false imprisonment… Fidel Miramontes, age 48, of Gilcrest, Colorado, was arrested on a Magistrate warrant for battery on a household member… Christopher Burns, age 28, was arrested for causing criminal damage to property and on an Otero County arrest warrant… Juan Islas, age 22, was arrested on two Magistrate warrants for no driver’s license, no insurance and no registration… Jonathan Lara, age 21, was arrested for unlawful use of license… Jeffery Johnston, age 56, was arrested for interference with officers…
Edgar Cano De La Torre, age 37, of Mexico, was arrested on a Hutchinson County, Texas, warrant for forgery… Luis Contreras, age 18, of Albuquerque, was arrested on a District Court warrant for a probation violation… Esteban Cano, age 23, was arrested on a District Court arrest warrant… Alfredo Calderon, age 21, was arrested on two Magistrate warrants – one for failure to appear and one for failure to pay fines… Mitchel Boomgaarn, Jr., age 21, was arrested on a Magistrate warrant for failure to pay fines… Alejandro de Jesus, age 53, was cited for shoplifting at Walmart… Marcos Dominguez, age 20, was cited for shoplifting at Walmart… Steve Gallegos, age 18, was cited for shoplifting at Peppers… and Nick Dalia, age 40, was cited for trespassing at a business.
In juvenile news… a 16-year-old boy was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana… and two boys – one age 17 and one age 16 – were cited for minors allowing themselves to be served alcohol and shoplifting at Walmart.
And in other news… there were numerous criminal damage to vehicle reports over the weekend… $1,000 in criminal damage to a glass front door occurred at a business off East Pine… a pit bull puppy valued at $150 was taken from a residence in Columbus… and graffiti was reported on rocks near Spring Canyon State Park.
Also… Deming Police officials collected 96 pounds of unwanted or outdated prescription medications during Saturday’s Federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s Take Back initiative. The medications will now be turned over to the DEA for destroying.
