(Deming) – An article in Friday’s Deming Headlight on “Fabian’s Rally of Hope,” a motorcycle run set for August 3rd to benefit a 16-month-old diagnosed with a progressive muscle weakness, contained some incorrect information.
Organizers want participants to know there will be no cash prizes awarded at the run, since it is a fundraiser in Fabian Cano’s honor to raise money for the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.
The Project is leading in the fight to benefit children with the particular type of Muscular Dystrophy Cano has.
Participants will pay $10 per person, or $15 per couple. The article incorrectly reported that the bike rally offered a chance to win $10,000 for a single rider and $15,000 for a double rider.
Again, "Fabian's Rally of Hope" motorcycle run will be held August 3rd with registration from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Old Glory Outpost, located at 3101 E. Pine St. in Deming. This will be the starting point of the bike rally which will take off at noon.
All riders are welcome to join the rally.
The local motorcycle club, The Choir Boys, along with Las Cruces bikers from the chapter Centauros, will participate in the rally.
