
DEMING – Here’s today’s local arrest and crime report.
Terrance hicks, age 28, of Animas was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate warrant for failure to appear… Keyla House, age 35, of Garden Florida, was arrested on a 6th Judicial District Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release… Richard Dorado, age 45, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release… Alfred Ventura, age 60, was arrested for disorderly conduct… Able Nunez, age 24, of Las Cruces was arrested for unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, criminal trespass and larceny… Asbill Russell, of Las Cruces was arrested for unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, criminal trespass and larceny… Anthony Lira, of Las Cruces was arrested for unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, criminal trespass and larceny… Santa Valenzuela, age 48, of Las Cruces, was arrested on a Deming Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear… William Escobar, age 44, was arrested for DWI, careless driving and having an open container… Carlos Lugo, age 20, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to pay fines… Evelyn Hawkins, age 54, was arrested for battery against a household member and criminal damage to property of a house hold member… Erick Torres, age 34, of El Paso, Texas, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, no drivers license, open container and on a Dona Ana County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to appear… Johnnie Malone, age 81, was arrested for embezzlement of a motor vehicle and fraud… Joshua Ray, age 39, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated fleeing from law enforcement… Daniela Aguirre, age 20, was arrested for interference with officers… Edie Cameau, age 52, of Las Cruces, was arrested on a 6th Judicial District Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release… Josue Pedregon, age 32, was arrested for criminal damage to property and resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer… Ruben Chavira, age 38, was arrested for injuring or defacing property and disorderly conduct… Victor Montoya, age 42, was arrested on a Luna County Magistrate Court warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release. Angel Escatel, age 28, was arrested for aggravated battery.
A 17-year-old girl was cited for battery on a household member.
All persons mentioned in today's arrest report are to be considered not guilty and innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
In police reports:
A mobile home structure on Second Street and Holy Cross Road was deemed a total loss after fire was reported. Reports say the structure was abandoned. The Deming Fire Department and the Luna County Fire Department both responded. The case is under investigation as possible arson. Police tell Deming Radio News that they do have a person of interest in the case.
Six – twenty dollars bills were found to be counterfeit at Walmart. The bills were being passed by a unknown male who fled the store once the cashier said they were counterfeit.
Fraud in the amount of close to $400 was reported after a Deming man paid for a door to a vehicle from a web page, and never received the purchase.
Over $900 in various items including a camera and jewelry were taken from a residence on the 600 block of South Tin.
Five blank headstones were reportedly damaged at a granite business on South Gold Street. The loss was reported as $2,700.
A 38-year-old Deming woman reported that her social security number was being used in the State of Washington for employment purposes.
Over $1,500 in traffic signs were stolen from the City of Deming.
A maroon 2011 Ford Fusion was reported stolen off of North Boundary Road in Columbus. The value was listed at $6,400.
Police took a report of illegal dumping after the internal organs of a cow was found dumped on property along Topeka Road.
A Semi caught fire on Perrin Road NW. The driver was uninjured, but the 1997 Volvo was a total loss valued at $15,000.
Fraud was reported at Walmart after an unknown female attempted to cash check for $200. The cashier did not accept the check because the name on the document was that of a male.
