Library Assistant Director Angela Wild said the library was thrilled to host the event, made possible by the local library supporters group.
According to a media release, “Indiana Bones,” while researching a new story, discovered that the myths of ancient India were more history than myth – including one about a bridge built over 1.75 million years ago by an army of monkeys.
Through his storytelling, “Indiana Bones” combines archeology, history, puppetry, adventure, action, ancient legends, mythology and folklore to capture the minds of children.
“Indiana Bones” is played by Emmy Award-winning writer, producer and performing artist Mike McCartney of Santa Fe, who is affiliated with storytellers.net.
Wild said the community is invited to the performance this Thursday, July 17th, from 2-3 p.m. at the library, 110 South Diamond.
Admission is free.
