A course on leadership training is set for this Wednesday, Sept. 13th, followed by training on accessing capital Sept. 27th, and starting a business Oct. 11th.
All classes run from 10 a.m.-noon in Room 152 of the Mimbres Valley Learning and Special Events Center, 2300 E. Pine Street.
Luna County Community Projects Director Jessica Etcheverry said they had so much success with their first series of classes, they had people asking them, “When’s the next Hump Day?”
The series takes its name from the popular commercial featuring a camel in an office celebrating Wednesday.
The Hump Day Academy training series is a collaboration with WESST, Luna County, Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce, Deming-Luna County Economic Development, Western New Mexico University and the Small Business Development Center.
The classes are open to the public and no registration is required.
