Program Coordinator Albert Placencio said activities will include free food, music, lots of games and prizes, massages, haircuts, informational and employment booths, and more.
The event is designed to promote education and family support, including prenatal activities, parenting skills, family planning, changing risk behaviors, employment support, self-esteem building, support groups and risk assessments, and self-care.
The idea is for the entire family to celebrate the dads in their lives on Father’s Day weekend.
Placencio said activities will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. this Saturday, June 16th, at Luna County Courthouse Park.
The event is being made possible with support from community sponsors and partners, and through funding from the National Healthy Start Association.
