Friends’ Board President Dorian Dodson said they were
overwhelmed by the groups’ generosity.
Reportedly, the groups each decided to donate $5,000 to help support the Healing House.
Dodson said they appreciated the gifts, but also applauded the cooperative spirit.
The checks were presented last month to the Healing House by board members of each group, some of whom are on both boards.
Dodson said that since October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month it was wonderful to begin the month knowing they have such great community partners.
