Deming Police Chief Alex Valdespino said national “Coffee with a Cop” Day is this Wednesday, Oct. 2nd, and his department is hosting an event from 8-10 a.m. at Copper Kettle Coffee Shop.
The national event began as part of Community Policing Week in 2016 and continues each year on the first Wednesday in October in a nationwide effort to bridge the gap and encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public.
The slogan of the national campaign is: “Building relationships one cup at a time.”
Again, “Coffee with a Cop” will take place this Wednesday, Oct. 2nd, from 8-10 a.m. at Copper Kettle Coffee Shop, 200 S. Gold St. – on the southwest corner of Gold and Spruce.
Everyone is welcome.
