
MainStreet officials said proceeds from the event will benefit programs relating to downtown revitalization projects.
A media release said the Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring slam dunks, ball-handling tricks, comedy routines, music, dancing and games for the kids.
Among the locals playing on the Quacks team are Deming Mayor Benny Jasso, School Superintendent Dr. Dan Lere and High School Principal Janean Garney, First New Mexico Bank President Teresa Molina and local doctors Bassam Homsi and Victor Cruz.
Tickets will be $12 at the door, and children under age four are free when accompanied by an adult.
