
DEMING – The Deming Chevron station at 500 East Railroad Ave, also known as Poncho’s Imports, was held up Wednesday evening.
Deming Police Chief Clint Hogan told Deming Radio News that shortly after 10pm, a Hispanic male in his early 20’s entered the station and brandished a semi-automatic handgun. Ordering the clerk to hand over all the money in the cash register. The 25-year-old male clerk gave the robber the cash on hand.
The robber left the store running away on foot heading south under the underpass.
The robber was last seen wearing a red bandana over his face with a grey long-sleeved shirt and black pants.
The clerk called 911, and Deming police arrived, taking the report.
Deming detectives are investigating this robbery and are asking the public for any information that might lead to the arrest of the robber.
