Deming Police Captain Clint Hogan said 27-year-old Jose Lujan returned the girls – ages three and four – to their home and turned himself in to authorities after learning that he and his daughters were the object of an Amber Alert.
Lujan allegedly made threats to injure the children and pointed a handgun at a pregnant woman during the course of the domestic disturbance, which began at approximately 2 a.m. Sunday and ended just before 7 a.m.
He also damaged the front door of the residence where the alleged abduction took place.
Lujan is charged with two counts of custodial interference, aggravated assault against a household member, causing criminal damage to the property of a household member, and negligent use of a deadly weapon.
