Luna County Extension Agent Jack Blandford said he and several volunteers will be presenting gardening workshops throughout the year, with the initial workshop scheduled for next week.
Blandford said now is a good time to analyze your soil before spring planting, so the first workshop – set for Thursday, April 5th – will focus on soils and soil management.
The following Thursday, April 12th, the workshop will address irrigating and transplanting.
Blandford said both workshops will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Luna County Extension Office, 210-B Poplar Street, and the cost of the two workshops will be $10 to cover materials.
Enrollment is limited to 10 people. Call 546-8806 to register.
