
50-year-old Yolanda Rodriguez, a U.S. citizen who formerly resided in Mexico, this week received 15 months in prison for her role in the drug trafficking ring.
Luna County residents involved in the case include 55-year-old George Taylor of Deming, 32-year-old Grisel Majalca of Columbus, and 20-year-old Cerbando Carbajal of Columbus.
Taylor pleaded guilty in April of last year to conspiracy, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and money laundering charges, and was sentenced March 17th to 24 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
Majalca pleaded guilty in August of last year to conspiracy, use of a communication device to facilitate a drug trafficking crime and money laundering charges, and was sentenced in February to 12 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.
And Carbajal pleaded guilty in March of last year to conspiracy and money laundering charges, and was sentenced in November to time served.
